A Clay Story, founded by Anumita Jain, is a brand aspiring to tell the tale of lovingly handcrafted pottery for everyday use. Her creations are defined by their earthy and understated palettes, organic shapes, & rustic textures. With each creation, she aims to bring more joy and nature into the homes of others.
Anumita’s creative journey started young. Every summer as a kid, she dabbled in various arts & crafts, from calligraphy to glass painting to origami. Finding her calling in creating, painting, and designing, she enrolled at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi to study product design. Though she explored various materials during her course, ceramics gripped her attention and heart. It was really no surprise then that as soon as she could, she began training at Delhi Blue Pottery in 2015 and went on to hone her finer skills under the famed Mansimran Singh at Andretta Pottery.
